BeTheClip Terms of Use

1. Service and your account

BeTheClip provides local video preparation/editing, supported link downloads and user-initiated sharing. Use it only if you can accept these terms under local law or with a parent or guardian's authorization where required. Keep sign-in credentials secure and use accurate account information. Protect local files and make your own backups. We do not provide cloud backup of your media.

2. Free features and Plus

Supported downloads, imports, preview, local saving, project management, duration trimming, mute/unmute and system sharing are free. New edits to canvas/framing, rotation, text, solid covers or fixed mosaics require an active trial or Plus, subject to actual device/format capability. Expiry does not take away saved media/projects or prevent exporting effects already lawfully saved.

App-configured sequential handoff supports one different target platform for Free and unlimited target platforms for an active trial/Plus. Users can change their free target. System sharing is separate. Handoff opens the selected app for you to finish; it is not unattended posting or proof of publication.

3. Seven-day product trial

A verified account may actively claim one 168-hour trial for that internal account. Installation or registration alone does not start it. Reinstallation, device changes or linking the same account do not reset it. No payment is required and the trial does not become a paid subscription automatically. Existing Plus takes priority; purchasing does not restart the original trial clock. After expiry, new actions follow Free limits and saved work stays available.

4. Purchases, renewal and deletion

The purchase screen and Google Play confirmation show the applicable product, local price, tax and renewal terms before payment. Paid subscriptions may renew automatically according to the confirmed offer. Manage cancellation in Google Play; access normally continues until the paid period ends unless a refund/revocation changes it. Google and applicable law govern available refunds. Do not purchase to remedy an unsupported format or device.

Purchases are tied to their verified owner. Restoration must use the matching account; accounts cannot transfer someone else's purchase. Account deletion does not cancel a subscription or refund it. Review cancellation and restoration consequences before confirming deletion.

5. Content and third-party services

You retain rights in your own content; BeTheClip does not acquire ownership of your media. Download, edit and share only material you own, have permission to use or may lawfully use. Respect copyright, trademarks, privacy, publicity rights and the source/target service's terms. A public URL or successful download is not a license to republish.

Do not use BeTheClip to circumvent DRM, access restrictions or security controls, download protected content without authorization, impersonate others or distribute unlawful content. Covers/mosaics can obscure parts of an image; they do not grant rights or guarantee removal of every identifying feature. The app does not promise intelligent watermark removal. Third-party brands identify interoperability, not affiliation or endorsement.

6. Updates and availability

Download compatibility depends on websites, network conditions and media formats and can change. Download-module updates replace interpreted Python extractor data/code for that purpose. Native libraries and the app itself are updated through the app distribution mechanism. Only use trusted update sources. No update guarantees all sites remain supported. Features not provided in this release, such as AI captions or automatic posting, are not included by purchasing Plus.

7. Responsible use and remedies

Do not attack the service, misuse accounts or payments, bypass security or membership checks, or infringe others' rights. We may restrict the affected service to address abuse, security or a legal requirement, with proportionate notice and a way to contact support when feasible. Technical failures do not constitute successful export, download or publication. Contact support about a failure or dispute. These terms do not exclude mandatory remedies or liability that law does not permit us to exclude.

8. Privacy, changes and disputes

The privacy policy explains data handling; the deletion page explains account/data removal. Material changes are dated and notified where required. Changes do not retroactively remove earned rights. Contact [email protected] to seek a resolution; mandatory consumer protections and access to the competent courts or authorities in your jurisdiction are preserved.
