1. How to request deletion

Select “Continue to account deletion” below, sign in to the account you want to delete, and complete any required recent sign-in or email verification. Review the account, data and subscription consequences and confirm the deletion in the account flow. Follow its actual status/result; a failed or pending request is not a completed deletion.

In the app, open your profile/account settings and choose account deletion. If you cannot access the account, contact [email protected] from its registered address with the subject “BeTheClip account deletion”. Support may verify ownership and help you submit the request. Do not send your password, session token, full receipt or card number.

2. Cancel a subscription separately

Deleting the account does not cancel or refund a Google Play subscription. To stop future renewal, open Google Play's subscription management and cancel the subscription using the Google account that purchased it. This is advice, not a condition for exercising your deletion rights. Google handles the applicable cancellation/refund policy. Deleting the BeTheClip purchase owner can prevent restoring that entitlement to a new account.

3. Data removed from the active account

The deletion flow removes or de-identifies the active server account profile, email/password credential, linked sign-in identity, authentication/session records and associated service data, subject to the limited retention exceptions below. Account access is revoked. We do not merely hide or suspend the account as a substitute for deletion. Platform settings and handoff history stored on your device are separate; account deletion does not erase your local files. Identity ownership checks prevent deleting another account or transferring a purchase.

4. Limited records and processing time

Limited purchase/order and security records may remain for refunds, ownership/fraud checks or legal obligations; access is restricted to those purposes. Support correspondence may remain to finish a request or resolve a connected dispute. We remove or minimize retained data when the purpose and any required legal period end. The account flow gives the actual result; ask support which records or exception apply to your request and about any outstanding processor removal.

Session credentials normally expire after seven days and may refresh while active; verification tokens are valid for one hour and reset tokens for thirty minutes. Expired records are removed by bounded scheduled cleanup. Request rate/abuse records older than twenty-four hours are cleared on that schedule. Feedback deduplication expires after twenty-four hours; its daily IP-hash quota expires at the next UTC midnight. Provider mail/logs and recovery backups have separate retention and are not instantly erased by account deletion.

Account deletion retention schedule

When the deletion status is completed, the active server account data has been removed by the deletion operation. If cleanup fails, the account flow shows the status and offers retry; queued cleanup is retried by the five-minute scheduled task. The completion receipt is kept for 30 days after completion. Purpose-specific keyed identity hashes and a used-trial signal are retained permanently to prevent repeat trial claims after deletion and re-registration. They have no automatic expiry. Identity records for accounts that never claimed a trial are kept for 90 days after deletion to invalidate older verification links. Minimized purchase-owner and financial evidence is kept for 1,095 days after the later of deletion or the last recorded purchase/order expiry, then enters scheduled cleanup. Stored purchase-token ciphertext and checkout links are removed during account deletion. These hashes remain pseudonymous personal data. This is an operational schedule, not a statement that every country's law requires this period. Support mailbox and provider recovery copies have separate purpose-limited retention. At expiry, retained records become eligible for bounded scheduled cleanup; processing backlogs can delay physical removal beyond the expiry time.

5. Local files and third-party copies

Local videos, downloaded media, projects and exports are not removed by account deletion. Use the app's file/project controls, Android storage settings or your gallery/file manager to remove them deliberately. Uninstalling may remove private app storage, but does not necessarily remove saved gallery files, copies sent to other apps or your own backups. For a published copy, use the receiving service's deletion tools.

6. After deletion and contact

A deleted account cannot simply be restored. A new registration does not transfer another account's purchase or automatically guarantee a new trial. You can continue using free local features without an account. For account or other personal-data deletion questions, contact [email protected].
