Cover a fixed video area or crop an edge watermark

If a fixed label or watermark is near the edge of a video, you may be able to exclude it with a crop. If you need to keep the frame, a cover or mosaic can obscure a selected area instead.

These are visible, manual edits. They do not reconstruct the picture behind a watermark, remove every moving mark or make the video look as though the covered content never existed.

Plus access or an active trial is required for frame/crop, cover and mosaic tools.

Before you begin

  • Use footage you own or are allowed to edit and reuse.
  • Check whether the area stays in the same position throughout the clip.
  • Choose between losing some frame area with a crop and obscuring a selected region with a cover or mosaic.

Step by step

  1. Inspect the complete clip

Preview the video and locate the area you want to exclude or obscure. Check later moments too: a watermark or label may move even if it appears fixed at the beginning.

  2. Choose the appropriate tool

Use frame/crop if the unwanted area is near an edge and the remaining composition still works. Choose cover or mosaic when you need to retain the surrounding frame.

  3. Position the edit manually

Adjust the crop or selected region so it includes the target area without hiding more important picture content than necessary. Tap Apply to commit the adjustment, then inspect the visible result in playback.

  4. Review every affected moment

Play through the whole clip and inspect the area, including the edges of the cover or mosaic. Export the edited result and check it again before sharing.

Cropping changes the composition

An edge watermark may be easy to exclude, but the same crop can cut off a subject, label or gesture. Judge the remaining picture, not only whether the mark is outside the frame.

A fixed region cannot follow a moving mark

If the target moves outside the selected area, it can become visible again. Do not rely on a stationary cover or mosaic for automatic tracking.

What to know

  • Cover and mosaic obscure pixels; cropping excludes pixels. None of these tools restores the original hidden picture.
  • The workflow does not promise invisible watermark removal, AI reconstruction, object tracking or removal of every watermark.

Questions and answers

Does this remove a watermark without a trace?

No. A crop removes part of the frame, while a cover or mosaic leaves a visible edited area. The hidden picture is not reconstructed.

Which option should I use for a corner watermark?

Consider a crop if you can exclude the corner and still keep a useful composition. Otherwise, a cover or mosaic can obscure that fixed region with a visible result.

Can a mosaic follow a moving watermark?

Do not assume that. This workflow uses a manually selected fixed area, so you must review the entire video for movement outside it.
