Before you begin
- Identify the original or the latest completed edited output.
- Check that the intended receiving app is installed and up to date.
- Read the current handoff state and any error message.
Step by step
Check the video version
Preview the original when no edit is needed. After changes, export the current revision and use that result rather than an older export.
Check the destination
Confirm the receiving app is installed. Use Manage platforms when a configured destination needs changing, then Save platforms.
Retry only the correct state
After a definite failure, use Retry when offered. If confirmation is uncertain, inspect the receiving app first; use Continue handoff only as the app directs.
Use a manual file route if needed
Try More sharing options, or save the output and select it in the target app. Finish account, caption and publishing steps there.
Check the result
Separate handoff from publication
Handed off records a file handover, not the receiving service's upload or live post. Confirm publication in that service.
Report the observed failure
Send support the app version, destination and visible error. Do not attach private media, account passwords or payment details.
What to know
- A receiving app controls its supported file types, sign-in, upload and publication; BeTheClip cannot guarantee acceptance.
- This is user-initiated handoff, not unattended posting, automatic account selection or a guarantee of exactly one external post.
Questions and answers
Why is the receiving app missing?
It may be absent or lack a compatible route. Install or update it, or select the file in its own upload flow.
Can I share the original without exporting?
Yes, when the original is available and unchanged. Export is needed for the version containing your edits.
Should I retry when status is uncertain?
Check the receiving app first. An earlier handoff may already have opened; a blind retry can repeat it.
