Before you begin
- Preview the current project and apply or cancel any pending adjustment.
- Keep enough storage for the output file.
- Decide whether to save the project as well as exporting the video.
Step by step
Review the current edit
Check the retained interval, frame, text and sound. Save the project if you plan to revise it later.
Start Export
Tap Export and keep track of the real progress. If you cancel, wait for cancellation to finish before retrying.
Open the completed result
Continue only after the app reports completion. Use Save to Photos if you want an album copy, and wait for that operation's result.
Play the output
Check the beginning and ending, orientation and sound in the finished file. Share this output when it is the version you intended.
Check the result
When export fails
Read the error, check available storage and the source's availability, then retry once the previous task has ended. Format and device support still matter.
After further editing
A previous export is an older version. Export again after changing the project before sharing the new edit.
What to know
- MP4 is a container; export support depends on the actual media and device, not only the filename extension.
- The workflow does not promise lossless encoding, universal format conversion or automatic posting.
Questions and answers
Does Export save my editing project?
Do not use export as a substitute for Save. Save the project when you need to continue editing.
Can I assume a progress bar means success?
No. Wait for the completed result; cancellation and failure do not create a confirmed finished output.
Does exporting publish the video?
No. You still choose a receiving app and finish publication there.
